Big DEAFESG update: profile, team, awards, shop and wallet

Share:

We have released a big DEAFESG update. The main things: a new profile, a new team page, awards with their own design, a wallet with a history of D coins and returns in the shop. You can also remove the background from your photo in one click in the settings. Here is everything in order.

New profile

The profile header is modelled on a player card from esports rating sites:

  • on the left — the player photo with a role (Player, Game leader, DEAFESG team), the country flag and the logo of the current team;
  • on the right — the nickname, platforms (Steam, FACEIT), country and city, team, rating and place, matches and win rate, games, registration date and verification status;
  • under the photo — a strip of trophies: the player's badges, tournament prize places and awards of their teams;
  • below — all the statistics in one strip, game cards and Fortnite statistics.

The photo in the header is now the same for everybody — rectangular, without a frame. Frames from the shop are still shown in player lists, in the Top-10 and in the shop itself.

Team: passport and roster board

The "My team" page has been redesigned. Every team now has a number in the DST-1 standard — you can copy it in one click, and organizers use it to find the team.

  • Roster board: the captain, main roster, substitutes (up to two players), coaches and free places — everything is visible at once.
  • The "Edit" button opens a swap window: pick a player from the main roster and a player from the substitutes — they swap roles. A player can just as quickly be moved to the main roster, to substitutes or to coaches.
  • Handing over the captaincy is also a role swap: the new captain takes the previous captain's place, and the previous captain takes the new one's. Roster limits are never broken.
  • Team awards. After a tournament the organizers can give the team a trophy — it appears on the team page and in the trophy strip of every team member.

Awards: own design for every trophy

Badges no longer have to look the same: organizers design them in a builder — a shape (cup, medal, shield, hexagon, star, circle, plate), two colors, a text or an icon, a glow. Existing badges have not changed.

Every tournament now has an "Awards" tab: cups for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places, as well as MVP and EVP, can be designed in advance — while the tournament is still announced or running.

Shop: returning purchases

Bought something by mistake? You can now return it: press "Return" on the item in the shop.

  • you can return any purchased item — a banner, a frame, a badge or a nameplate — within 30 days of buying it (items from a set are returned one by one);
  • no more than three returns in any 30 days;
  • the D coins go back to your balance at once, and the return appears in the wallet history;
  • gifts and free items cannot be returned; very old purchases have no payment amount saved, so they stay with you too.

If you return an item you are wearing, it is taken off your profile automatically.

The shop has become more convenient as well: tabs "Sets", "Rating", "Frames", "Banners", "Badges" and "Nameplates"; paid sets of several items; rewards for rank — one set for each rank; and a new kind of item, the nameplate — a colored plate behind the player's row. Every game has its own "Shop" tab with the items of that game and the common ones. And in the player lists of a game you can now see purchased nameplates, badges and country flags.

My wallet

The new "My wallet" page is your D-coin account in the form of a bank card:

  • an account number in the DWS-1 standard that you can copy;
  • the balance with a "Hide" button, so the figures are not shown on the screen;
  • totals and the history of all income and spending: shop purchases, sets, Premium, tournament fees, returns and bonuses.

Spending before October 21 was not recorded, so it is shown as one line — "Operations before the wallet launch" — to make the totals match your balance.

Settings and photos without a background

The settings page is now clearer: every section has a description, and the menu has hints and marks (for example "Photo under review", "Verified" or "2FA is off").

  • The "Basics" page shows your profile readiness: six steps (email, photo, verification, games, Telegram, "About me") with a "Do it" button on each unfinished one.
  • The photo now has a "Remove background" button. A neural network finds the person in the picture and makes everything else transparent. It all happens in your browser — the photo is not sent to any third-party service. On the first press the browser downloads the model once (about 10 MB).
  • You can keep the result on a transparent background or make it white. The "Restore original" button undoes the changes. If you upload a PNG or WebP that already has a transparent background, it stays transparent.

As before, a new photo is first checked by a manager.

Tournaments

  • Fortnite league. A league can consist of several stages (up to five) — each with its own dates, its own application and prize. The "best N advance" rule is shown on the page: the points table has a cut-off line.
  • "Balance" mode. In tournaments with individual applications the teams can be built by player rating (in CS2 — by FACEIT ELO): every team gets both strong players and newcomers, and the total rating of the teams is almost equal.
  • Application status "Problem". If someone in the roster is not verified or has not linked the tournament's game, the application gets this status and the player receives a warning — so the problem can be fixed in advance.
  • Telegram groups of tournaments. The tournament page has a button to join the group: it gives you a personal one-time link. The bot posts opponents, match times and results in the group.

And more

  • One style. Corner rounding is now the same in all sections of the site — 4 pixels. Only avatars, logos and indicators stay round.
  • Achievements. Organizers can give players not only badges, but also profile banners.
